Mexican Food in Castaic: Tacos, Burritos, Fajitas & More
Our Mexican Favorites board says it simply: bold flavors, made fresh. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, fajitas, a torta, sopes and beef soup, served inside Castaic Truck Stop between Exit 176A (Parker Rd) and Exit 176B (Lake Hughes Rd) on I-5.
Tacos: Pescado Taco ($4.50), Asada Taco ($4.50), Pollo Taco ($4.50) and Al Pastor ($4.50). Pescado is fish, asada is grilled steak, pollo is chicken and al pastor is marinated pork.
Torta and sopes: Torta ($12.99) and Sopes ($4.50). A torta is a Mexican sandwich on a roll; sopes are thick corn masa bases with toppings.
Beef soup: our Beef Soup ($15.00) is caldo de res.
A quick guide to the words on the board
Asada: grilled steak (carne asada).
Pollo: chicken. Pescado: fish.
Al pastor: marinated pork (the board writes just Pastor).
Caldo de res: beef soup. Nopales: cactus, on our Nopales Salad.
