Privacy

This website is a menu and information site for Sam's BBQ & Grill, 31611 Castaic Rd, Castaic, CA 91384. It has no sign-up, no contact form and no online ordering, and it does not ask you for any personal information.

Cookies and tracking

The site sets no cookies and uses no advertising networks.

Visitor counter

The top of each page shows how many different visitors the site has had. To count each visitor only once, our own server keeps a one-way scrambled (hashed) copy of your IP address, made with a secret key; the counter never stores your IP address itself. For the newer IPv6 addresses only the network part (the first half) is scrambled, because phones change the rest of the address often. This scrambled copy is used only to count unique visitors: it is never shared, never sold and never used for ads, and the counter sets no cookies. Search-engine robots are not counted. The scrambled copies are kept for as long as the counter runs.

Maps

The map on our pages is a picture until you tap Show Map. Only then does your browser load the map from Google, and Google's privacy policy applies to that map. The Directions buttons open Google Maps or Apple Maps in a new tab.

Our web host

Like every website, the server that hosts this site keeps routine technical logs (such as IP address, the page requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure.
